The world through my eyes
I have traveled to many different countries and I have seen many interesting and extraordinary things. Through my travels, I have met some incredible people with a desire to survive. I look for the interesting in the everyday experiences and try to capture life in all its beauty. I am fond of exploring abandoned and decayed buildings and document the life that used to be there as well as wandering streets and documenting the way everyday people live.
I have used photography to document events in my life, but I have started to also document life in general and events in other peoples’ lives as well.
Photography is a way for me to document life as it is, so that others can also witness what I have seen. Sometimes I regret not having a camera with me on my early travels, but I have made up for that by always carrying at least one camera with me at all times.
I admire the work of Vivian Maier and am sad that her work wasn’t discovered until after her death. She was a prolific photographer with an eye for composition and always ready with her camera. Like her, I try to document life around me. From her, I have learned to always have my camera ready for the shot.
I have traveled to over 20 countries in my explorations and still have much more to see in the world. In the past few years, I have focused on photographing the Midwest and life as it is in the United States. Stay tuned for my next big adventure!
